The Procedure
Surgery is performed under general anesthesia and takes 2 to 4 hours. A low horizontal incision is made, hidden beneath the bikini line. Dr. Geldres tightens the abdominal muscles, removes excess skin, and repositions the navel if necessary.

Recovery
An abdominal binder is worn for 4-6 weeks. The first few days require relative rest, and daily activities are gradually resumed after 2 weeks. Exercise resumes between 6 and 8 weeks. Final results are visible 3 to 6 months after surgery.
